Recurring Delight (Rebloomer)
Product Description
Recurring Delight’ (Larry Lauer, 1998) – Rebloomer with Sweet Fragrance and Show-Stopping Ruffles
Add a touch of elegance and fragrance to your garden with ‘Recurring Delight’, a standout reblooming tall bearded iris introduced by acclaimed hybridizer Larry Lauer. This late-season bloomer stands 35" tall and delivers an exquisite blend of soft, romantic tones and complex color contrasts.
The standards are a greyed yellow with a lavender midrib flush, accented by lavender-washed style arms over yellow-grey bases. The falls showcase lavender tones with lighter rims, brown hafts, and sunny yellow beards tipped in lavender. Heavily ruffled petals and a pronounced sweet fragrance make this variety as delightful to smell as it is to see.
Awarded an Honorable Mention in 2001, ‘Recurring Delight’ descends from a distinguished lineage: a seedling from 'Edith Wolford' × 'Breakers', crossed with 'Mother Earth'. Best of all, this is a rebloomer, offering the potential of a second flush of vibrant blooms later in the season—long after most irises have faded.
As with all bearded irises, ‘Recurring Delight’ is drought-tolerant, deer-resistant, and an easy-to-grow perennial.
